Ablecare provides centre based and individual community support options in the Brisbane and South East Queensland.  Our current centres are located at Mitchelton, Stafford Heights and Burpengary - The Post School Programmes for 2012 continue with their education, therapy and skill focus as well as offering an enhanced community access programme. For a timetable and options for the centre of your choice, or for an individualised home and community based activity programme, contact our co-ordinator on (07) 3355 7979. The service now offers a pick up and drop off facility as well as extended hours care.

EDUCATION FOCUS : Reading, Writing, Speech, Communication, Memory Skills and Comprehension, Numeracy and functional math skills, Computer Skills and activities

INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS : Cooking, Work Skills and Experience through the community shop ( Mitchelton ), Personal Care, Travel and Safety skills, Relationship skills and Positive Behaviour Support 

COMMUNITY ACCESS : Gym and Exercise, Hydrotherapy and Swimming, Sport, Camping, Sailing, Horseriding, Library and Cultural centre visits, Movies.  Ablecare has a bus that is used as part of the community access programmes.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES : Drama, Music, Art, Craft, Games, Dancing, Gardening, Animal Care, Sensory Therapy, Singing, Fishing
