2008 has started as a very busy year for Ablecare . All centres have re-opened after the Christmas break and we say a warm welcome back to all clients and families. We also would like to welcome all the new clients and families and thank you for choosing to be part of Ablecare.
The beginning of 2008 has involved a fresh start for the Post School Programmes and plans to establish a respite unit in North Queensland are well underway...we hope to have this available for families from Easter .. Ablecare was accredited in 2007 and in 2008 we will be participating in the surveillance audit process as part of our continuous improvement plan in February.
In the first quarter of this year, Client Reviews will be conducted with your centre managers. The Ablecare Steering Group Meetings are held monthly and if you would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact the office.
The Children's and Women's Physiotherapy clinic has re-opened for 2008 and we are planning a training seminar on Inclusive Education and Practices in the later part of the year.
The In Home and Accomodation Support division is continuing to build support options for families and people with disabilities and we hope that 2008 will allow this flexible support programme to strengthen.
